Pioneer Hills - October 14, 2007

I wanted to get out of the house and get some fresh air today, so I decided to take the iPod and the dog (Ren) for a little hike around a local trail system.

Pioneer Hills are close enough to not require a lot of planning, but they are large and long enough that you can get out there and really take your mind off things in silence. They are but one of the many nice trail/biking systems that is around the St. George/Southern Utah area.

I only have a couple of qaulms with the trails themselves; for the most part they are heavily trekked and it's not uncommon to see the stray piece of litter here and there. Also, because it's so close to Saint George there are a lot of power lines that run through it.

It's an easy hike, and the weather was perfect. A little warmth with a slight cooling breeze. The dog enjoyed it too, I like bringing him out and getting some exercise for him in his older years.
